Today We Celebrate Heidi Rodgers from Aldershot Foot Care
This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating women whose businesses are built on care, connection, and purpose. Today, we’re proud to recognize Heidi Rodgers, owner of Aldershot Foot Care, whose work supports comfort, mobility, and quality of life for so many members of our community.
Meeting a Real Need in Aldershot
Heidi chose to establish her business in Aldershot after recognizing a genuine gap in local healthcare services. At the time, there was no dedicated foot care clinic in the area — despite Aldershot being home to a large senior population.
With a strong desire to support older adults and ensure they have access to compassionate, professional care close to home, Heidi set out to create a clinic focused on dignity, comfort, and overall well-being. Aldershot Foot Care was built with the belief that proactive foot health plays a vital role in mobility, independence, and quality of life.
Giving Back Through Care and Community
This year’s International Women’s Day focuses on support and connection — values that are deeply woven into Heidi’s business. Aldershot Foot Care actively gives back through involvement in local school and church fundraisers, helping strengthen community initiatives that matter.
Over the past two years, Heidi has also partnered with Socks for Hope, an initiative that received an overwhelmingly positive response from both clients and the wider community. In addition, Aldershot Foot Care has proudly sponsored the International Women’s Day luncheon in support of Halton Women’s Shelter for the past two years, reinforcing Heidi’s ongoing commitment to compassion, care, and community well-being.
Growing Through Challenges
Like many small business owners, one of Heidi’s biggest challenges has been building awareness within the community. Growing a healthcare-based business takes time, patience, and resilience.
What has carried her through is the trust and encouragement of her clients, whose positive feedback and loyalty continue to motivate her. The steady support of her family and the broader Aldershot community has also played a vital role in helping the business grow and thrive. Their belief in the value of her services has made all the difference.
Strength in the Aldershot Business Community
Being part of the Aldershot Business Community has been incredibly meaningful for Heidi and her business. It has created a strong sense of connection and collaboration with other local business owners and community members.
Through shared knowledge, encouragement, and relationship-building, Heidi has found support that extends beyond business growth — reinforcing the importance of serving Aldershot with integrity, care, and mutual respect.
Advice for Women Starting a Business in Aldershot

Building a business here, she notes, is just as much about relationships as it is about services. Taking the time to connect, seeking mentorship, asking for support, and growing at your own pace are all part of the journey. Aldershot is a welcoming, supportive place, and with passion, perseverance, and care, it’s an incredible community in which to build a business.
