Why did you choose Aldershot for your business?
Fourteen years ago I brought my father to a medical appointment in Aldershot on Plains Rd East. On the way back to Ancaster I decided not to take the highway and instead we drove by Plains Rd West toward the RBG. We looked around and saw so much potential. The next day I contacted the City, they had some very ambitious plans for the area! Our decision was made overnight, we were sold on Aldershot. Two days later we purchased a piece of land and started building Gardens Dental. In 2009 our dental office was opened. Aldershot has never disappointed us, it has exceeded all of our expectations in terms of both development and quality of people.
What sets you apart from all the rest?
Our commitment to our patients is what sets our practice apart from other offices. We provide excellent and professional service while using top-of-the-line modern equipment, techniques and materials. We believe in a personal approach, detailed explanations and informed consent for every patient and every procedure. Dr. Galkin is always ready to go the extra mile for his patients and will happily see them after hours for an emergency appointment or consultation.Our office is open every Saturday and we offer late evening appointments to accommodate even the busiest of schedules. Dr. Galkin has an extremely gentle touch and is popular with everyone, from young kids to our more senior patients. Our operatories are spacious and feature glass doors and large windows to allow for easy access and to make sure our patients never feel claustrophobic.

What is your specialty product or service?
Gardens Dental is a modern family dentist practice offering patients in Aldershot a full-range of general and cosmetic dental services, from routine check-ups to complete smile makeovers. Dr. Galkin specializes in conservative, proactive dentistry utilizing the latest in dental technology.In addition to general dentistry, Dr. Galkin performs laser periodontal treatments, dental implants and oral surgery. He is joined by an excellent team of dental specialists to provide care for orthodontics, sleep dentistry, advanced root canal treatments and periodontal surgeries.
What do you love about Aldershot and what is YOUR favourite business to visit in our BIA?
I love so much about Aldershot! From the stunning lake front and beautiful parks and gardens, to the friendly and easy-going people. Aldershot is so convenient with its quick highway accesses, and the close proximity to the shopping and entertainment areas of Burlington and Hamilton. My favourite business in our BIA is Gardens Medical Group, though I am a bit biased here since my son, Dr. Boris Galkin, started the medical clinic in the summer of 2020. My second favourite is the West Plains Bistro, I love their food and ambiance!
What would you like the Aldershot community to know about you and your business?
I would like the community to know how excited and honoured we are to serve them in our office! We work extremely hard to ensure that all of our patients have a positive and satisfying visit, regardless of their age or financial situation. I am proud to say that referrals of friends and family make up over half of our new patients. This is one of the finest compliments we could receive as a practice, we appreciate the confidence our patients have in us!
