People on Plains Blog Series – Meet Bill from Aldershot Home Hardware!
We asked a few questions to learn some history and to get to know his business better.
Why did you choose Aldershot for your business?
We chose Aldershot because we had heard so many great things about the community, the friendliness of the people, the size of our store was also a good fit for us.
What sets you apart from all the rest?
What sets us apart from others is that we try to get to know our customers, we have relationships that have developed over the years that continue on. We’ve been able to employ many staff that live in the Aldershot area, we’ve had students work for us part time that have grown up coming to the store with their parents, some have come in with their own kids after leaving here and continuing on with there lives.
What is your specialty product or service?
We really don’t have a specialty product but we strive to offer great customer service, we do offer screen repair, glass cutting and a sharpening service and of course helpful advice
What do you love about Aldershot and what is YOUR favourite business to visit in our BIA?
The people of Aldershot make running this business a pleasure, again the relationships we’ve built up over the years are very special to us. When new staff first start working for us they’re always amazed by how many people we know by name and what they do or projects they’ve been working on. We strive to support as many business’s as possible in Aldershot, we’ve purchased gift cards from the local restaurants for Christmas gifts for staff and accessed many of the different services, hard to pick a favourite.
What would you like the Aldershot community to know about you and your business.
We hope to continue to provide Aldershot with all their hardware, home repair needs, we welcome any suggestions that would make shopping here even better . We’re pleased with the reaction to our new giftware/home decor section that has provided some different gift ideas that you may not find elsewhere. We truly have appreciated the support we’ve received throughout the past two years of the pandemic and look forward to better times ahead for all.
