3 years ago I made the decision to end my MOBILE Senior Foot Care Business and plant roots in Aldershot Village and I haven’t looked back since!

Nestled in a little corner of Salon and Spa at LaSalle, I somewhat started over again, encouraging my mobile clients to follow me.

Alicia’s Foot Care and Aesthetics in Salon and Spa at LaSalle was born.

Senior and Diabetic Foot Care, taking care of our Seniors one foot at a time is my passion, is my love. One of the reasons I chose Aldershot Village (or did Aldershot Village choose ME?)  is that it’s central for my Seniors who may be driving, on the bus route, using Uber or walking (Aldershot Village has many beautiful trails to walk).

Aldershot Village has become home . I try to give back to my community because I feel it is important. My community supports me and I support my community in different ways.

  • Food and clothing Drive for the Compassion Society of Halton.
  • Toonie drive for kids breakfast program. ($600 was divided between a two schools in the Aldershot area).
  • Diabetic walk in June – $1940 was raised in honour of my Diabetic Clients.
  • Donated the Dr Seuss Christmas window display to the local Library for their display for the children.

Continuing education and following multiple social media sites with fellow Foot Care specialists is important. We are always learning and having a large support network helps us grow. Taking great care to follow the Health Board rules and regulations is a must.

Each client receives their own file (open in front of them), buffer, pedi pad and a new pair of gloves, which are all thrown out after each service. Implements are washed with soap and water dried then placed into CS20 to soak (health board approved).

Where some clients are turned away because of the condition of their feet I say ” bring it on, let’s work together and get your feet looking and feeling great”.

My second passion is NAIL ART . I love when a client comes in for their nail appointment and says to me “do whatever you want”. When that happens I can guarantee you there is glitter, LOTS of glitter! It’s always a fun day at the shop when nail art is going on.
