Why did you choose Aldershot for your business?
Back in 1974 when my grandfather, father and uncle started Burlington Paving, they had a small yard on Waterdown Road, just North of Plains Road and their office was run out of my grandparents’ home on Northshore Boulevard. In the late 70’s my grandparents purchased the current property that Burlington Paving has both its yard and office on. Aldershot was where we grew up and a community that we took pride in. It has excellent opportunities to access the highway, which allows our paving operation to be able to head out towards Niagara, Toronto, Windsor and everywhere in between.
What sets Burlington Paving Co. apart from all the rest?
Burlington Paving was built on values such as honesty, integrity, hard work and to provide the customer with the best possible product and service that we can offer. We continue that tradition today by listening to what our customers want and offering them all the services that they require. We do that with the highest ethical standards possible.
What is Burlington Paving Company’s specialty product or service?
We specialize in tennis court and running track construction. We have dedicated ourselves to being the leaders in the design, construction and maintenance of tennis courts and running tracks. We have laser grading equipment and vast years of experience that make us the leaders in this field.
What do you love about Aldershot and what is YOUR favorite business to visit in our BIA?
Aldershot was where I grew up all my life. My family has been part of the community for decades and has always prided itself in Aldershot. My mom was a proud resident of Aldershot and donated all her spare time back to the community. Whether it was the Plains Road Village Vision, the LaSalle Park Pavilion Committee, the RBG, helping to campaign for the local councillor or the many other organizations in Aldershot that she was involved in, she always taught us to take pride in our community and give back to this great community whenever we could.
We frequent J&G meets often as they provide the best meats around. It has become a staple at our company’s employee of the month award, where we give the winner a cooler full of meat and other BBQ stuff for them to enjoy with their family as the prize.
What would you like the Aldershot community to know about you and your business?
I would like the people in Aldershot to know that we are a third-generation family owned and operated business that does not just operate out of Aldershot. We employ over 30 people and we take pride in the Aldershot area. We patron many of the local businesses and we donate to many local Aldershot causes. We are more than just another construction company; we are a company that is proud to call Aldershot our home.
