Why did you choose Aldershot for your business?

When we moved into the area over 5 years ago, we were looking to build on the community that had already evolved in Aldershot. With there only being a few restaurants in the area we could tell there was some excitement for our pub to open as we had people approaching us every day while we were renovating the space. We love the close-knit community that Aldershot has to offer, it seemed like the perfect place to make our pub, their pub!

What sets you apart from all the rest?

We are very lucky that we have retained most of the same staff since day one. We love that the customers we met on opening day still continue to come not only for the food and service but to check in on the staff regularly. Most days coming into work it doesn’t feel like providing a service but more so making food and drinks for friends and family.

What is your specialty product or service?

We are known for many pub classics that people often talk about or drive quite the distance to come try again. If you are a frequent visitor of the pub, you have definitely tried our Thai Won Ton Nachos (which I’m pretty sure are becoming famous worldwide), as well as our hand breaded chicken tenders or the Guiness Meatloaf. Right now, with the warmer months our Mediterranean Salad is keeping everyone refreshed but still maintains its popularity in the colder months too.

What do you love about Aldershot and what is YOUR favourite business to visit in our BIA?

We love the people; our entire staff are very lucky that we’ve maintained so many relationships with the customers both inside and outside of the restaurant. Many have gone out of their way to help out when needed at the pub, or bring the staff a treat on a hot day or a nice coffee on a cold one. We’ve seen huge acts of generosity within the pub whether it’s someone buying a family a nice meal, or new friends grabbing a drink for one another. We are overwhelmed some days with the praise we get from some of our guests saying how many friendships have evolved out of this pub being built.

Many of us do frequent the plaza with Tim Hortons and Home Hardware. Whether we were in a pinch for a coffee or needed something for a restaurant repair, both businesses have always been so kind to the staff and very helpful. I recently needed some garden soil for my planters out front and the gentleman who worked at Home Hardware was so kind and even carried them out to my car!

What would you like the Aldershot community to know about you and your business?

For those who know us, we continue to appreciate the support from the community, we hope to keep offering a space where everyone feels welcomed and appreciated. We always love seeing new faces, and hope to continue to see more of them as we maintain our high service standards and tasty pub fare. We are very grateful to be a part of Aldershot and we hope everyone knows that!
