Meet Dr. Michael Schultz, chiropractor and founder of Schultz Chiropractic & Wellness Centre. A Burlington local with deep roots in Aldershot, Dr. Schultz is passionate about helping families thrive through spine-focused, personalized care. Why did you choose Aldershot for your business?
Burlington is my hometown, and my family roots stem specifically from Aldershot. Multiple generations of the Schultz family lived, and continue to live, on Unsworth Avenue. For this reason, it felt natural to return and set up my chiropractic practice in Aldershot.
What sets you apart from all the rest?
I am very different from most other primary healthcare providers. I specialize in helping people who struggle with health issues which has its underlying root-cause embedded in the spine and nervous system. It is amazing how many common health issues come from the spine, including headaches, vertigo, numbness, tinnitus, digestive issues, growing pains, colic, bladder problems, sciatica and so many more. Our new patient visit is very thorough, and many patients tell me that it is the most thorough initial assessment that they have ever experienced. We have a specialized digital chiropractic spinal x-ray system and a computerized nerve scanner.
What separates us even more is the work that we do on young children, including infants.
What is your specialty product or service?
Pediatrics is my specialty service. I have extensive post-graduate training in the clinical field of pediatrics and offer specialized exams for infants, toddlers and teenagers. An important lesson that I have learned during my years in practice is that most of the chronic spinal health issues that adults struggle stem from injuries sustained during their childhood. Children slip on the ice, fall down the stairs and get tackled while playing sports. Each of these events can have an impact on the health of a child’s growing and developing spine.
Our office is fully equipped to serve children, and we even have a fire engine pediatric chiropractic table for the kids to get adjusted on.
What do you love about Aldershot and what is YOUR favourite business to visit in our BIA?
There are so many things I love about Aldershot. I have always enjoyed the water and growing up we spend a lot of time sailing our family boat out of LaSalle Park Marina. I still go down to the marina most mornings to enjoy a coffee and watch the sun rise. My favourite business to visit in Aldershot is the Home Hardware. I get great one on one service, and they always are very helpful.
