We asked Rob a few questions to learn some history and to get to know his business better.
Why did you choose Aldershot for your business?
Prior to the 60’s Plains Rd (HWY 2) was the major route to Toronto, there were many car dealerships and multiple RV dealerships. Ruston RV opened in 1968 at our old location beside Sir Pizza on Plains RD East. It seemed like the right area from a traffic/population standpoint.
What sets you apart from all the rest?
53 years in business, Family owned and operated. We have over 300 years experience in our 15 core staff. We operate with the customer first mentality, high standards, high morals and values drive our business to help people find their RV with best value and safety in mind.
What is your specialty product or service?
We focus on Sales of Travel Trailers, easy to tow lightweight travel trailers. We also offer support after the sale with our Parts & Accessories Store and Service Department.
What do you love about Aldershot and what is YOUR favourite business to visit in our BIA?
Small town feel, the sense of history that come from the old HWY. There are many great businesses that we frequent, Home Hardware for Shop Supplies, many of the restaurants for lunch or meetings. A few of my favourites, Sakis, Russell Williams, West Plains Bistro, and Mr Sub. Eye Focus is my Optometrist. Mortgage Architects for my mortgage needs. To name a few.
What would you like the Aldershot community to know about you and your business.
If you are in the market for an RV, come to see us. We believe in helping first selling second. Buying close to home has many after the sale benefits.
